Deans Rag Book toys began as the first cloth books, made to be indestructible to children. It lead to the creation of printed cloth toys and the dolls were among the very first to be produced c. 1920.

This beautiful doll has much wear and its sawdust filling is poking out here and there. She has the makers details printed to the souls of her shoes. Her arms appear to have been attached a few times and there are little ‘mum’ repairs throughout.

In spite of her 100 plus years age, she is still an utter delight. Beautiful twinkly eyes and Rosie cheeks. 

She is also a very rare find and will be a much loved addition to a collection.
